My favorite children's book/story:
I studied at a Catholic school founded by loving French nuns, and The Little Prince, by Antoine de Saint-ExupĂ©ry, was a foundational text during my elementary school years. I always remember the dialogue between the Prince and the Fox, specifically the phrase, "You become responsible, forever, for what you have tamed." That principle — caring for others and being responsible for their well-being — has always stayed with me.
Fun facts about me:
I was born in Brazil as a third-generation Italian and Portuguese immigrant, and I have been in the US for 15 years. When I was 16 years old, I published a mystery novel and have never stopped writing since! I love writing, making art, and spending time outdoors with my family and our dog, Rocky "Socks."
What do you love the most about teaching/working with little ones?
Seeing the sparkle of wonder in their eyes when they learn something new, getting inspired by their freedom and creativity, and hearing about their dreams while I support their growth and development.
From your perspective, what makes the Children's Center so special?
It's a loving space where children can thrive, expand their understanding of the world, and learn how to live in a community. It is easy to feel welcome and nurtured here, and I can't wait to meet all the children and families of this beautiful community!
