My favorite children's books/stories:

Each, Peach, Pear, Plum by Allan Ahlberg and Janet Ahlberg is a cleverly written story involving an interactive game of "I Spy" and several fairy book characters.

Fiddle-I-Fee by Melissa Sweet (no relation) highlights a parade of animals making whimsical sounds as they follow a young child around the farmyard.

Jamberry by Bruce Degen features a young boy and a big friendly bear who visit their animal friends while reciting zany word play phrases.

Fun facts about me:

I'm from Sunnyvale, CA

I'm blessed with a loving husband, two children and our dog Mochi. Our daughter works at UCSF, and our son is at Cal Poly SLO.

I'm trained as a physical therapist and enjoyed being on staff at Children's National Medical Center in Washington, D.C., and CA Children's Services in Marin County.

My first job after PT school was working with Donald Duck, Jiminy Cricket and a bunch of other characters in Disneyland's Christmas parade.

I enjoy singing, dancing, musicals, being active outdoors, beach time, Bible study and family time!

What do you love the most about teaching/working with little ones?

My favorite things about preschoolers are their joy, love, curiosity and wonder while exploring and discovering treasures about themselves and their environment.

From your perspective, what makes the Children's Center so special?

The genuine, caring, supportive and enthusiastic staff creates a welcoming, nuturing environment where children learn and grow through play based activities.
