My favorite children's book/story:

No, David!

It's a book written by David Shannon and based on his memories from his own childhood. I like this story because it is humorous and relatable to all of us. And children love to listen to the mischievous behaviors of young David, which always end with the unconditional "I love you David! from his mother.

Fun fact about me:

I have been on vacation with five generations of my family at the same time. One of my most cherished vacation memories is being at Disneyland and watching the parade with my grandmother, my mother, my daughters and my granddaughters. Five generations of us sitting together and enjoying the moment.

What do you love the most about teaching/working with little ones?

Their curiosity. I like to take a step back and observe as they engage in uninterrupted play. I enjoy watching the expression they make on their faces as they explore their surroundings or discover something new. In my 30 plus years working as a teacher and program director for young children, it is moments like this that continue to make my job so rewarding.

From your perspective, what makes the Children's Center so special?

The first time I walked in the door I felt the warm connection of the staff. I was embraced and welcomed. I knew then that I wanted to be part of the team.
