My favorite children's book/story:

A timeless classic that I love is Paddington Bear. I really enjoy the funny adventures that Paddington goes on in my adoptive city of London. London has always been a special city for me because I lived there for several years and it is where my husband proposed to me.

I also love a couple of books by two Spanish authors, Monstruo Rosa and Roly Polies. Monstruo Rosa is a tale about diversity and the search for happiness. Roly Polies, is a funny story that teaches not to judge others on their appearance and reminds us of that artist that we all carry inside ourselves.

Fun facts about me:

I grew up in a very large family in Malaga, Spain. I am the 2nd oldest among 28 cousins. I grew up babysitting many of them as we all lived very close by to one another. I have three children ... 3 boys!!!

I love sweet things (that's the reason why I love baking). I do not like sad movies, but I really enjoy movies about love and happiness. (Christmas movies are my favorite!)

Riding motorcycles brings me a lot of joy because it is so freeing and I have so many great memories from past times riding a "bike".

What do you love the most about teaching/working with little ones?

Teaching for me is rewarding and enriching, especially with these little ones. They are so adorable and surprise you every day with their spontaneity. I love the way they get so excited when they discover new things and how proud they feel when they learn.

After having my sons, I realized how quickly time flies and kids grow up. I often think to myself what will my life be like when my boys are all grown up? I enjoy having kids around so much, so working at the preschool I can be surrounded by little ones. The preschoolers can be my "kids", too.

From your perspective, what makes the Children's Center so special?

There is something special here at the Children's Center for sure! The Children's Center's Staff is like a second family ... filled with pure kindness and love. It is a fact that we all love to work with children and that they are our top priority.

Ever since I joined the staff here at the Children's Center, I have felt super lucky to be part of the school. Everyone is always willing to help and creates a happy atmosphere, so every day is a good day. This is amazing! Everyone spreads their positive energy!
