Date of hire: July 2000
My favorite children's book/story:
Blueberries for Sal by Robert McCloskey
It takes me back to when I went to my public library for story time. I loved listening about how a little girl and a bear cub get mixed up during a day of blueberry picking.
Fun facts about me:
I was married at LAUMC Church and so was my brother.
Why did you decide to work with preschoolers?
I could make them laugh and they made me laugh.
What do you love the most about teaching/working with little ones?
Helping them through their days and then seeing the growth and joy they feel when they succeed at something.
From your perspective, what makes the Children's Center so special?
The people make the Children's Center so special. They care, want you to succeed, help you to succeed, laugh with you, cry with you, let you borrow, are positive, and know and love the children. It's like a family! The parents and children also make it special!
