My favorite children's book/story:
You Are Special by Max Lucado
Fun facts about me:
I have a musical background, play the cello, and have two dogs, a German Shepherd and a Jack Russell terrier. I have a niece and two nephews that have gone to Children's Center.
Why did you decide to work with preschoolers?
Love this age! It's one of the most important ages to start developing their foundation in education, social skills, and love for one another. Plus, they aren't taller than me. :)
What do you love the most about teaching/working with little ones?
I love the daily hugs and the smiles when you see the little ones accomplish something on their own. I feel like it's a great reminder of what it truly means to have a childlike heart. It also helps us to appreciate the little things in life. We're not just teaching the children but we are learning from them as well.
From your perspective, what makes the Children's Center so special?
When I first began working at the Children's Center, I fell in love with the staff and the community. That experience has led me to come back and work for this amazing school. You can truly see the love and support among the community, parents, students, and faculty. It's more of a family than a workplace!
