My favorite children's book/story:

One of my favorite books is called I Love You the Purplest by Barbara M. Joosse. It's the story of a mother's love for her two little boys with very different personalities and unique qualities. This book was given to me by my grandmother when my two oldest boys were very young, and the personalities of the two sons in the story were so similar to my boys.

Fun facts about me:

I'm married, and a mom of three awesome boys — two teenagers and a preschooler!

I love taking photos & scrapbooking, and am known as the paparazzi of the family.

I'm recently a runner and am enjoying participating in many races.

Why did you decide to work with preschoolers?

I felt from a very young age that I had a calling to take care of children and to be a mommy. I followed my passion by receiving my education in Early Childhood, was an infant teacher for 9 years, meanwhile married and had three wonderful boys, and am returning now to work with young children once again. I couldn't be more excited to be here!

What do you love the most about teaching/working with little ones?

I find it fascinating that young children are just beginning to figure out the world around them, yet at the same time they believe they have everything figured out and know everything! I love all the funny things they say. They're precious!

From your perspective, what makes the Children's Center so special?

From the moment I walked in the door, I knew this was where I wanted my son to be. It truly is a special place full of the most wonderful people, ready to love and care for all children and families. I'm so fortunate to be on staff here as well as a participating parent.
